What Are Tarot Cards?
For many people, tarot cards are synonymous with fortune-telling. Yet tarot is more than a divination prop; it is also a tool for self-awareness and untangling inner confusion.
A full tarot deck contains 78 cards. Through shuffling, drawing cards and laying out spreads, readers interpret situations based on each card’s imagery and symbolic meaning.
It serves three main purposes. First, the well-known divination reference, offering hints around relationships, careers and difficult choices. Second, self-exploration, helping you notice overlooked emotions, desires and fears hidden in your subconscious. Third, psychological guidance. It will not tell you exactly what will happen. Instead, it gives you fresh perspectives to clarify your thoughts — you still make all final decisions.
Important to note: tarot is not magic prophecy. It provides insight, not fixed fate.
